Seriously...Do we even need to go to concert hall to watch an orchestral performance anymore?

Attending orchestra concerts have been a hobby of the upper class in the last centuries. With more and more concert halls opening in ever region, people still have the habit to attend orchestra concerts nowadays. However, it would not be easy to get a concert ticket for a Berlin Philharmonic concert due to the popularity.  In the last century, orchestras like the Vienna Philharmonic would record videos of their concerts and produced DVDs for sale. Nowadays, we don't even need DVDs to review their concerts because they are all uploaded on YouTube for free!!! As the technology of video and sound recording keeps improving, various of the world's famous orchestras hire expert teams to produce concerts videos in great quality. For example, the Berlin Philharmonic's Digital Concert Hall uploaded every live concert videos for the public to pay monthly fees and watch online. Medici TV also has many users worldwide with the technology of live broadcasting in HD. That means you can literally watch the live performance even you are not in the concert hall. I remembered how happy I was when I watched the Facebook live broadcast of the LAphil performing the "Rite of Spring" on my way to school in the morning.

Well, I thought the technology I mentioned above was already so awesome and advanced. Surprisingly, we can even watch orchestra performance in 360 degree view! It is so funny that I can pan to whatever angle I want. Normally, we can only watch the orchestra from one angle sitting at the concert hall. Technology actually solved this barrier and it is quite fascinating. Most importantly, I can see the conductor's face during performance!!!

Finally, I really appreciate these new technology enhanced the possibility of orchestra performances. My teacher used to say that YouTube connects the world's musicians. Although I can watched Berlin Phil online even I couldn't get a ticket, I still prefer sitting at the concert hall to watch the live performance. At the concert hall, the sound of the orchestra is produced through the acoustic of the hall. Sitting close to the orchestra enables me to feel the spirit and the emotions the orchestra conveys.
