The Beethoven project: by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Paavo Jarvi

The Beethoven project

The 40 musicians of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen from what is probably the country(Germany)'s most unusual orchestra.

This Outstanding ensemble and it's artistic director Pavvo Jarvi are squaring up to the challenge that is Beethoven, and performing all nine symphonies in four days at the Beethoven festival in Bonn. As musicians they are world class, as shareholders in the company that is their orchestra they bear the full risks. Their vision does not end with the final applause: the musicians are also fulfilling a social responsibility and passing on their passion for music to students at a Bremen school.

This four-part documentary series which I would like to share to you: The Beethoven Project, are focuses on one of my favorite conductor Paavo Jarvi and selected members of the orchestra. The documentary inspired me the most is the enthusiasm for music by the conductor and orchestra memebers - in rehersal, in concert and behind the scenes.

If you want to understand:
How has the former provincial young orchestral become a world - class ensemble? How did it develop its unique sound?
How do the conductor and musicians approach Beethoven' s masterpieces?
How does the orchestra maintain consistency in the their performance of the Beethoven symphonies over four days?

You will find the answers to these incredible documentaries and also will explore deeper about Beethoven and his symphonies. Wish you enjoy!
